Library Lounge

A virtual library lounge

I heard from a little birdie that Bloglines may be going down the tubes. I have no idea if this is true; my feeds appear to be updating normally, but it got me to thinking... maybe I should start using another RSS reader, just in case. What have you used and liked/disliked? I have Google Reader, but the layout isn't my favorite. I like the sleek look of Bloglines. Its simplicity is what appeals to me. Is there something else like Bloglines out there?

I agree with Lindsay. I love how Bloglines put my feeds into separate boxes, and I could create folders based on the labels I wanted to apply. I really like Bloglines, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. Michael suggested Netvibes to me a couple of weeks ago, so I signed up. I love it! I can keep feeds separate using tabs, and it's soooo easy to use. I would highly recommend it.

Ahh, I loved tabbed browsing, so tabbed pages would be handy; maybe I should give NetVibes a whirl.

I used bloglines last year and I liked it. I used google reader this semester, and had no problems--but last night I moved all my current feeds over to netvibes. I liked the way Michael's looked in class, and it is super fun because there are so many widgets available that you can add. Plus, I have separate pages now--so I have one tabbed page for each class to follow student blogs and then one for LIS. Check it out! :)
